Bandipora, May 28: The Government Higher Secondary School in Izmargh is grappling with an acute shortage of teaching staff, leaving students struggling to keep pace with their academic schedule.

The ongoing staff crunch has raised serious concerns among parents, who are now demanding urgent intervention from the education department.

According to locals, the lack of subject-specific teachers has disrupted regular classroom activities, particularly affecting students preparing for board examinations.

“Our children are losing valuable academic time. How will they compete with others if the situation continues?” said one concerned parent.

Taking note of the public outcry, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Bandipora paid a visit to the school to assess the ground situation. During the visit, the CEO interacted with the students and parents, assuring them that the matter would be addressed on a priority basis. He said that steps are being initiated to deploy the required teaching staff at the earliest.

The parents, however, have urged the administration to ensure that the assurances are translated into prompt action to safeguard the future of their children.
