Bandipora, September 14: The body of 10 year old Momin Ahmad, a resident of Ganie Mohalla, Kaloosa, Bandipora, was recovered from Nallah-e-Madhumati on Monday, after a four-day-long search and rescue operation.
The body was recovered from the nallah near the SP Office on the fifth day of the search operation, bringing an end to the intensive efforts launched after the boy slipped into the water body.
The search operation was jointly carried out by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Jammu and Kashmir Police, Civil Administration and local volunteers.
Renowned rescue volunteer Hamza Sheikh had also joined the search operation from Sunday morning and took part in the efforts to trace the missing boy.
The recovery has brought the search operation to an end, while further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident are awaited.
