Bandipora 14 May: In a remarkable endeavor to combat the menace of plastic waste and keep her village clean, Nasreena, the 45-year-old Sarpanch of Watapora Payeen in Bandipora district, has embarked on a unique quest to make her village waste-free. 

Nasreena's innovative idea to distribute dustbins among the villagers aims to prevent the indiscriminate disposal of polythene bags and household waste on streets and in water bodies.

Driven by her deep concern for the environment, Nasreena recognized the detrimental impact of plastic waste on the fields and water bodies of Watapora Payeen. With the intent to preserve the natural beauty and biodiversity of her village, she conceptualized the idea of providing dustbins to the villagers as a practical solution.
