Bandipora, February 28: Indian Army stationed at Kanzalwan Village in Gurez valley near Line of Control on Monday organised a function to celebrate National Science Day.
An official said a special guest lecture on contribution of prominent Indian scientists was taken for the students by Mr Zahir Hussain Head Master of Kanzalwan Primary School.
Discussions on Indian scientists contribution worldwide in science and technology along with students contribution towards a progressive Kanzalwan society were discussed during the event. " To spread the awareness a leaflet carrying all prominent contributions by Indian scientists in field of science and technology was distributed. Besides this the students also displayed posters of science projects carried out by them during their leisure time," he added..
School teachers along with students welcomed this forum which provided them a platform to discuss the advancement of science and technology worldwide and their contribution for developing a secure and progressive society. They conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Army at Kanzalwan for the gesture and promised to carry forward the thought into the future
