Bandipora, 24 Feb: A Government employee of PMGSY department on Thursday evening was injured in road accident in Bandipora town.
Eyewitnesses said the employee identified Ab Rashid Sheikh Head draftsman of PMGSY department was trying to cross the busy road near R&B office Bandipora when a speeding cab hit him, leaving him injured. They said the driver fled from the spot after injuring the man.
Locals managed a car and took him to Bandipora hospital.
An official at Bandipora Police station said a team has been sent to the spot to gather more details.
Medical Superintendent district hospital Bandipora Dr Sheikh Mushtaq said that the injured employee was shifted to the Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment.
