Bandipora, 27 March: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) has served a Show Cause notice to Block Medical Officer Bandipora for allegedly violating Model Code of Conduct.
A video had gone viral in which the officer was seen with Politicians including National Conference Parliamentary candidate Mohammad Akbar Lone.
DHSK asked BMO Bandipora to explain his position as to why he was present in Political Meeting in Bandipora.
While asking the officer to explain his position the DHSK observed that the act is brazen violence of Moral Code of Conduct and has defamed the purpose of him being government employee who is bound by CSR. "The act of yours has been viewed seriously by the higher authorities and stringent disciplinary action has to be initiated against you for such a negligence of indifferent attitude of yours being block authority of Bandipore, " Reads the notice.
DHSK stated that his presence in the meeting has put the department in awkward position and defamed the purpose of him as block authority of Health Department.
However the officer has rejected the allegations and has said that he was called by Chief Medical Officer Bandipora to her home for discussion regarding a review meeting that was to be chaired by Divisional Commissioner. Bandipora ( who is a politician)along with some people entered in said room to take tea, where Block Medical Officer and Chief Medical officer Bandipora were discussing the Agenda of to the meeting,
