Bandipora, Nov 2: Bandipora Police arrested a man and seized 10.13 kg of charas-like substance during naka checking at Hakbara-Chandergair crossing in Hajin on Monday, police said.
The accused has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Mir, son of Mohammad Sabir Mir, a resident of Hakbara.
Police said a case, FIR No. 120/2026, has been registered at Police Station Hajin under Section 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is underway.
Police said they would continue action against drug trafficking and appealed to the public to cooperate in efforts to curb the menace.
