Search Operation Intensified After Nagaland IED Blast

Wreath-Laying for Martyred Poonch Soldier Today

Kohima, July 14: Security forces have intensified the search operation following the IED blast near Sukhovi in Nagaland’s Chumoukedima district that claimed the life of Assam Rifles Havildar Mohd Iqbal from Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to official updates, additional columns of the Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police have been inducted to trace those responsible for the attack.

The four Assam Rifles personnel injured in the blast remain in stable condition.

A wreath-laying ceremony for the martyred Havildar Mohd Iqbal is scheduled to be held this afternoon at the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School (ARTC&S), Sukhovi.

The ceremony is expected to be attended by the General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps, and the Director General of Assam Rifles.
