Srinagar, April 8: Chinar YUVA Centre, Baramulla organised a two-day Mega Job Fair 2026 on April 7 and 8, aimed at connecting job seekers with leading employers across sectors including IT, Hospitality, Automobile, Insurance, Retail and allied fields.
The event witnessed an encouraging response, with over 3,000 aspirants registering—marking a 60 per cent increase compared to last year. Around 1,100 vacancies were offered, reflecting a similar 60 per cent year-on-year growth. Organisers said candidates’ aspirations were carefully aligned with employment opportunities, particularly in Hospitality, Retail, Automobiles and allied sectors.
Leading employers participating in the fair included Flipkart, Swiggy, Blinkit, LG, Ather Energy, Amazon, Raymond, PhonePe, Hotel Sarovar Portico, The Khyber Himalayan Resort & Spa, Myntra, Honda, Bajaj Auto and SBI Life Insurance.
The fair featured both online interviews by ten companies and physical interview rounds, followed by shortlisting and selection of candidates. Representatives from the District Employment & Counselling Centre also provided career guidance on industry trends and skill development under the “Mission YUVA” scheme.
Chinar YUVA Centre also announced the commencement of new courses in Agro Entrepreneurship to promote self-employment and enhance livelihood opportunities for youth. The initiative reflects the sustained commitment of the Centre towards youth empowerment, skill development and facilitating meaningful employment as part of its broader outreach and nation-building efforts in the region.
