PAMPORE, MAY 15: MLA Pampore Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, on Friday visited Gandipora Kakapora to take stock of the road restoration works in the area which had suffered extensive damage due to the devastating floods of 2025.
During the visit, the MLA inspected the progress of the ongoing works and interacted with local residents, who apprised him of the difficulties faced by the public due to the damaged road connectivity.
He stressed upon the concerned officials and executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the restoration work with proper quality standards so that inconvenience to the people is minimized.
The MLA informed that the restoration work has already been sanctioned at an estimated cost of ₹1.83 crore, aimed at ensuring proper rehabilitation and strengthening of the damaged road infrastructure in the area.
Hasnain Masoodi reiterated his commitment towards improving public infrastructure and assured the people that all genuine concerns regarding road connectivity and other developmental issues in the area would be addressed on priority.
The locals appreciated the visit of the MLA and expressed hope that the restoration works would be expedited for the larger benefit of the people of Gandipora Kakapora.
