G 20 Presidency: Indian Army holds painting, colouring competition at Machhal sector
Kupwara, May 15: Indian Army stationed at Machhal sector near Line of Control (LoC) on Monday organised a painting competition to raise awareness among students about the G-20 summit and India presiding the Group of 20 nations since December 2022.
Defense spokesperson said beautiful artworks depicting G20 "One Earth , One Family, One Future" , India's G20 presidency & India's Global status were made by children of remote LOC village Kamkari.
He said the event witnessed enthusiastic participation by 35 students. Prize distribution and refreshments were arranged by the battalion for the children on culmination of event .
Spokesperson said India's G20 presidency is a significant milestone for the nation and a proud occasion for every Indian. "From December 1 2022 , India assumed the G20 presidency for a year and chaired over 200 meetings that aim to secure global economic growth and prosperity".
