In a statement Mr P. Parvez Shah General Secretary Awami Itihaad Party said that it has been reported that Mr. Sheeban Ashai, spokesperson Awami Itehad party has held a press conference today wherein he has made certain statements without consulting political affairs committee meant for the purpose of approving statements or holding press Conferences subject to approval by the said committee, I would like to mention here that he has already been directed to restrain himself for issuing any statement or press conference which is against the party discipline.
It is brought to the notice of one and all particularly Print and electronic media not to entertain such requests from anyone claiming to be so called spokesperson of the party.There is already a system in place devised by the party that any such press briefings shall have to be made by the General secretary AIP P. Parvez Shah only.
The brief conference held by Mr.Sheeban is hereby treated as null and void.Such irresponsible acts have no authenticity and is not keeping with political agenda of the AIP without the consultations.
Consequent upon the irresponsible attitude of Mr.Sheeban Ashai,he is hereby suspended from the party for the period of six months in the first instance for anti-party activities.His conduct and suspicious role will be enquired in order to take a final decision of his continuance in the party.
It is further clarified that if there will be any invitation from the central government to discuss the present situation of J&K, joining the meeting will be decided by the Political Advisory Committee only.
