Bandipora, May 15 Continuing its efforts to root out the menace of drugs from the district, Bandipora police on Friday launched extensive drive to destroy illegal Poppy cultivation.
The Police parties of P/S Hajin under the supervision of SDPO Hajin and SHO Hajin along with Excise department on Friday, destroyed Poppy cultivation in Paribal, Malikpora, Madhwan Hajin and other adjoining areas.
General public of the area have appreciated this action of police.
Community members were requested by the police to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. It issued a warning to the persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances and said that they shall be dealt as per law.
