Bandipora, 06 March: After rumour mongers circulating fake news about suspected corona virus affected persons in Bandipora, the district administration has launched a manhunt to nab the rumours mongers, an official revealed on Friday evening.
Earlier, a fake news was spread about the presence of corona virus affected persons in the district and closure of schools in the district on Social networking sites by unknown persons which created panic among the masses .
Taking cognizance about the rumours ,the District Development Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza has directed the law enforcing agencies to launch a manhunt and identify the anti-social elements involved in the rumour mongering activities in the district and take stern action against such elements.
District Administration Bandipora has also appealed General public not to pay heed to the rumours being spread by the miscreants as there is no Case of Corona virus so far reported in the district .
