JKEDI releases Rs 7.9 cr under various enterprise creation schemes in Kupwara

            KUPWARA FEBRUARY 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) has released an amount of Rs. 7.9 cr under various enterprise creation schemes in the border district of Kupwara during the current financial year. This money has been released to educated unemployed youth for creating income and employment generating business units. This also includes education loans disbursed to the students for pursuing professional studies belonging to weaker sections of the district. 

          As a part of Institute’s policy to reach out to the remotest parts of the state, various entrepreneurship development and awareness programs were conducted in all the areas of the district. Total 357 educated youth were trained in basic business skills and their projects have been linked to financial institutions and various enterprise creation schemes of both  Central and State Governments.  

          The programs were conducted under the guidance and support of the District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Khalid Jehangir.
