Manasbal, September 19: The Wullar Manasbal Development Authority (WMDA), in collaboration with Delight Public School, Kulpora, Manasbal, conducted an awareness and sanitation drive around the catchment areas of Manasbal Lake on Friday to raise awareness about the conservation of the water body and the harmful effects of pollution.
Students, volunteers and WMDA officials participated in the drive and highlighted the need to maintain ecological balance and cleanliness around the lake.
Chief Executive Officer, Wullar Manasbal Development Authority, Ahsanul Haq Chishti, said the Authority would continue to organise such drives with public participation as part of its social outreach programme.
He said cleanliness within and around the lake has been kept as a priority and sought public cooperation in maintaining the area.
Chishti also thanked the management, staff and students of Delight Public School for their participation and cooperation in the sanitation drive.
