Bandipora, September 5: District Nodal Officer (DNO) ULLAS Mir Irfan Maqbool was felicitated with the ULLAS Appreciation Award at SKICC, Srinagar, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, recognising his contribution to the implementation of the ULLAS programme in Bandipora district.
The award was presented by Education Minister Sakeena Masood. Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora Rafeeq Ahmad Mir congratulated Maqbool and the entire ULLAS team of the district on the recognition and completion of the programme.
The CEO appreciated the efforts of Maqbool in coordinating the implementation of ULLAS in the district and credited the achievement to the collective work of officials, teachers, volunteers and other stakeholders associated with the programme.
Mir said the recognition reflected the sustained efforts of the district team towards strengthening literacy initiatives and contributing to the goal of creating a more literate and empowered society in Jammu and Kashmir.
He also acknowledged the coordination and guidance provided by the DNO ULLAS and described the award as recognition of Maqbool’s professional commitment and efforts in taking the programme forward.
The CEO conveyed his best wishes to Maqbool and the ULLAS team and expressed hope that they would continue their efforts in the field of literacy and education.
