Srinagar, Aug 28: A new quarterly business magazine, Prime Business Voice, dedicated to Kashmir’s entrepreneurs, enterprises and evolving economic landscape, was formally launched at a hotel in Srinagar on Friday.

Founded by media veteran Rouf Majid, who brings nearly 15 years of international media experience, the publication aims to provide an editorial platform for Kashmir’s business and professional community, covering business, technology, policy and economic affairs.

The magazine will focus on entrepreneurship, investment, tourism, environmental issues, governance, corporate social responsibility, legal frameworks and emerging market opportunities, while highlighting innovation and growth across the Valley.

“Kashmir possesses a remarkable community of entrepreneurs and professionals whose contributions often remain under-reported,” Rouf Majid, Editor and Publisher of the magazine, said, adding that the publication seeks to bring such stories into focus and encourage informed discourse on the region’s economy.

The launch event was attended by business leaders, government officials, healthcare professionals, architects, engineers, legal experts and representatives of the hospitality sector.

Welcoming the initiative, Javid Ahmad Tenga, President of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), said the magazine could provide a platform for dialogue between entrepreneurs and policymakers while helping businesses navigate regulatory challenges and build connections for sustainable growth.

Other professionals, including urologist and transplant surgeon Dr Salim Wani, architect-engineer Ar. Imtiyaz Ahmad Chiloo, hospitality representative Najeeb A. Siddiqui and CEO of Sajad Mir and Associates Sajad Ahmad Mir, also highlighted the importance of stronger business journalism and cross-sector dialogue.

Available in both print and digital formats, the magazine has an initial print circulation of 1,000 copies, which will be distributed across corporate centres, hotels, educational institutions and professional hubs.

The inaugural issue features profiles, interviews and sectoral analyses focusing on individuals and enterprises shaping Kashmir’s emerging business trajectory
