Baramulla, August 28: Girls from Uri celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Army personnel of the Kalapahar Brigade on Friday, in an event aimed at strengthening ties between the security forces and the local community.
The programme was organised under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavna and saw participation from local girls, women and Army personnel.
During the event, the girls tied rakhis to the soldiers, symbolising trust, affection and mutual respect. The Army personnel also interacted with the participants and reaffirmed their commitment to the safety and well-being of the local community.
The programme included cultural interactions, exchange of greetings and distribution of sweets, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The participants appreciated the Army’s efforts to promote harmony and strengthen its engagement with people in the border area.
The initiative also highlighted the spirit of unity and camaraderie between the Army personnel and the people of Uri.
