PAMPORE, August 14: Several prominent workers associated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), along with dozens of other supporters, joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) during a joining programme held at Meej in Pampore constituency of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
The new entrants joined the National Conference in the presence of Pampore MLA and former Justice Hasnain Masoodi, expressing confidence in the party’s leadership, policies and public-oriented approach.
The new members were welcomed into the NC fold by party leaders and workers present on the occasion.
Welcoming the entrants, Masoodi said their decision reflected growing confidence in the National Conference and its commitment to inclusive development, public welfare and strengthening democratic institutions.
The newly joined members said they were impressed by Masoodi’s accessibility, engagement with the public and efforts to address issues confronting the people of Pampore. They pledged to work collectively for the development and welfare of the constituency.
The induction of prominent PDP workers is being seen by the NC as a boost to its organisational strength and grassroots presence in Pampore.
Addressing the gathering, Masoodi urged party workers to further strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and maintain regular contact with the people.
He called upon workers to identify and highlight public issues and ensure that genuine grievances are taken up with the concerned authorities for redressal.
