Srinagar, October 13: Secretary Tourism Avny Lavasa on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the overall functioning, management and operational capabilities of the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC).
On arrival, Lavasa was welcomed by SKICC officials led by Director General SKICC Mufti Fareedudin. Before the meeting, she toured the Centre to take stock of its facilities and infrastructure.
During the meeting, the SKICC management briefed the Secretary on the Centre’s operational capabilities, its role as a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) destination, current bookings, revenue structure and future plans.
The meeting also discussed measures for promoting SKICC and its MICE services. Lavasa heard the issues raised by the management and assured all possible support to further develop SKICC as a world-class convention destination.
