MLA Gurezi, delegations call on Javed Rana; Minister assures action under Omar Abdullah-led Govt

SRINAGAR, JULY 16: MLA Gurez, Nazir Ahmad Khan, along with several deputations and individuals from different areas, today called on Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology, Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, at the Civil Secretariat here and apprised him of various public welfare and developmental issues requiring government attention.
The delegations raised a range of issues pertaining to civic amenities, drinking water supply, irrigation facilities, road connectivity, infrastructure development and other sector-specific concerns affecting their respective areas. They sought timely intervention of the Government for early redressal of the issues and implementation of development initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery.
The MLA highlighted several pressing developmental requirements of his constituency and sought expeditious action on projects of public importance to ensure better amenities and enhanced quality of life for the people.
Giving a patient hearing to the concerns and demands projected by the visiting delegations, the Minister reiterated the commitment of the Omar Abdullah-led Government towards responsive, transparent and people-centric governance.
Javed Rana assured the delegations that all genuine issues and demands would be examined on priority and necessary directions would be issued to the concerned departments for their timely resolution. He said that the Government is committed to ensuring equitable development and improving the delivery of essential services across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
