Srinagar, June 29: As part of its ongoing Reach-Out Programme across Jammu & Kashmir, the Private Schools Association of Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK), led by its president Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam, visited the Chenab Valley and participated in the golden jubilee celebrations of Green Model Higher Secondary School, Doda, and Swiss International School, Bhaderwah.

During the visit, the PSAJK delegation also held an extensive meeting with the executive members of the Association’s Chenab Valley unit in Doda to discuss issues affecting private educational institutions in the region.

The meeting focused on several challenges confronting private schools, including issues related to No Objection Certificates (NOCs), regulatory compliance, administrative bottlenecks and the need for a more transparent and facilitative educational environment.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam assured school representatives that the Association would continue engaging constructively with the government to seek practical and timely solutions to the issues faced by private educational institutions.

He said private schools are important stakeholders in the education sector and require a supportive policy framework to continue delivering quality education.

A major focus of the meeting was the development of a collaborative academic programme among PSAJK member schools in the Chenab Valley. Participants agreed to strengthen cooperation through teacher capacity-building initiatives, exchange of best teaching practices, student enrichment programmes, leadership development and joint educational activities aimed at improving learning outcomes across the region.

The executive members appreciated the PSAJK leadership for launching the Reach-Out Programme, saying that direct interaction with school representatives at the grassroots level would strengthen unity within the Association and help address district-specific concerns more effectively.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to work together for the promotion of quality, inclusive and holistic education while safeguarding the interests of students, parents, teachers and private educational institutions across the Chenab Valley.
