Budgam, Aug 13: Model Government Degree College, Charar-i-Sharief, organised a Tiranga Rally on Thursday as part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation of around 400 students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
An official spokesperson said the rally was organised by the Department of Physical Education & Sports in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and was led by Principal Prof. Manzoor Ahmad Dar.
Carrying the National Flag and raising patriotic slogans, the participants marched from the college campus to the nearby petrol pump and returned to the campus in a disciplined and spirited manner.
Personnel from a nearby CRPF unit also accompanied the rally, providing support and adding to the patriotic atmosphere.
Spokesperson said the participation of the college community turned the rally into a vibrant expression of patriotism, national unity and collective responsibility.
