Education Conference-cum-Superannuation Function Held in Pampore, Retirees Felicitated

Pampore, April 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Zone Pampore, on Tuesday organized an education conference-cum-superannuation function at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Pampore, where retiring and retired education officials were felicitated for their service. The event was held under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

Chairman JKTF Mohammad Shafi Rather attended the programme as the chief guest. Other attendees included Provincial President JKTF Javaid Bhat, General Secretary Hamidullah Tramboo, Vice Chairmen of the forum, and trade union leader Afzal Bhat.

The function also saw participation from District President Pulwama Ghulam Hassan Mir, Zonal Education Officer Pampore Shahnaz Malik, and Zonal Education Planning Officer Ghulam Rasool Khanday, along with former officials and a large number of retired masters, teachers, and non-teaching staff from Zone Pampore.

The programme focused on recognising the contributions of educators who have served in the region’s education sector. Special recognition was accorded to Chief Organiser JKTF Farooq Ahmad Sofi and former Zonal President Pampore Farooq Ahmad Bhat for their services.

Among those felicitated were Mohammad Ayoub, Kafeela Ji, Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Mir Nisar Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Atta Mohammad Malik, Mohd Yousuf Bhat, Fahmeeda Ji, and Naza Parveen.

Speakers at the event highlighted the role of teachers in shaping society and emphasized the importance of maintaining quality education standards. They also underlined the need for continued awareness and collective efforts to address substance abuse under the anti-drug campaign.

The event concluded with participants acknowledging the contributions of retired personnel and extending best wishes for their post-retirement life.
