Anantnag, April 28: Director Colleges Kashmir Sheikh Aijaz Bashir on Tuesday visited Government Degree College Anantnag as part of the ongoing Strategic College Academic Leadership Enhancement (SCALE) initiative.
During the visit, the Director interacted with students and faculty members and reviewed academic and institutional functioning. He emphasised the need to strengthen institutional capacity, improve teaching-learning outcomes, and promote innovation and accountability in higher education institutions.
Principal Mushtaq Ahmad Malik briefed the Director on recent academic initiatives, infrastructural developments, and student-focused activities undertaken by the college. Discussions were also held on enhancing research output, integrating technology into pedagogy, and aligning institutional practices with evolving educational standards.
The Director appreciated the efforts of the college in maintaining academic standards and encouraged the faculty to continue working towards improving teaching and research. He also highlighted the role of initiatives like SCALE in promoting structured leadership and strategic planning in higher education.
Officials said the visit forms part of a broader effort to strengthen governance and academic performance across colleges in the region.
