Awantipora, April 28: In continuation of its efforts against drug menace, Awantipora Police has adopted a multi pronged strategy and taken the following measures:
Lists of identified drug peddlers have been displayed at all Police Stations within the district.
“Rogue Galleries” featuring photographs of known drug peddlers have been established to enhance public awareness.
Photographs of identified drug peddlers have been uploaded into Face Recognition Cameras for improved surveillance and tracking.
The initiative aims to ensure transparency and encourage community participation in curbing drug-related activities.
The measures are expected to act as a strong deterrent against individuals involved in narcotics trade.
General public has been urged to remain vigilant and share any information related to drug abuse or trafficking with the nearest police unit.
Awantipora Police reiterates its firm commitment towards eradicating drug menace and ensuring a safe and drug-free society.
