Two Injured After Scooty Skids Off Road in Tral, Shifted to SMHS Srinagar

Srinagar, April 18: Two persons, including a minor, were injured after a scooty skidded off the road in Tral area of south Kashmir on Saturday, officials said.

The injured have been identified as Irfan Hamid, son of Hamid Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Tral, aged about 39 years, and Gazi Irfan, son of Irfan Hamid, aged about 8 years.

According to hospital sources, both were initially taken to Sub-District Hospital Tral and later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.

As per attendants, Irfan Hamid was riding the scooty while the minor was a pillion rider when the vehicle lost control and skidded off the road, resulting in multiple injuries to both.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident. [KNT]
