Bandipora, May 21: The 3rd District Bandipora Ju-Jitsu Two-Day Training Seminar 2024–25 concluded successfully on Wednesday at New RP School Nadihal, drawing enthusiastic participation from over 200 students.
The seminar was organized by Yameen Sports Bandipora and hosted by the Ju-Jitsu Association of Bandipora, which is affiliated with the Ju-Jitsu Association of Jammu & Kashmir and recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
Focused on promoting self-defense, martial arts awareness, and personal discipline among youth, the seminar combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on training sessions led by experienced instructors.
The event was graced by an array of guests, including Chief Guest Foziya Khan, Principal of New RP School Nadihal; Guest of Honour Mohammad Hussain Magray, Principal BHSS Nadihal; Mehtab Manzoor, Senior Assistant; Javid Ahmad Reshi, Senior Lecturer BHSS Nadihal; Aadil Ahmad, Academic Head of Dubai Grand International School Sonerwani; Ishfaq Ahmad, President of Ju-Jitsu Association of Bandipora; Muzaffar Ahmad, General Secretary of the Association and Head Coach of Yameen Sports Academy; Organizing Secretary Dawood Ibrahim; and Technical Director Sabkat Malik, a two-time international Ju-Jitsu player.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Technical Director Sabkat Malik emphasized the significance of such training programs. “This seminar helps students build not only physical strength but also mental resilience and confidence. Our aim is to raise awareness about martial arts and offer hands-on training in Ju-Jitsu. We plan to conduct similar seminars across Bandipora in the future,” he said.
Students expressed their gratitude to the organizers and their school authorities for providing a platform to learn essential self-defense skills. “I’m very thankful to our school and the Ju-Jitsu Association for this opportunity. It has inspired us to be more active in sports and self-defense. We look forward to more such events,” said one of the participants.
The event concluded with encouraging remarks from the dignitaries, applauding the students’ enthusiasm and reinforcing the value of martial arts in building a disciplined, confident, and health-conscious generation.
The organizers reiterated their commitment to fostering a culture of fitness and self-empowerment through Ju-Jitsu training across the district.
