Annual Training Camp for Kashmir Region NCC Cadets Begins at NTA Nagrota

Nagrota | May 19: The Annual Training Camp for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from the Kashmir region commenced today at NTA Nagrota, setting a vibrant tone with enthusiastic participation and a spirit of discipline and learning.

The day’s schedule featured a balanced mix of physical training, yoga, firing practice, and an obstacle course, promoting fitness and endurance. Cadets showcased commendable zeal in embracing the camp’s rigorous routine from the very first day.

In his inaugural address, Camp Commandant Colonel Saurabh Saxena inspired cadets to strive for excellence and uphold the values of the NCC. This was followed by rigorous drill sessions, laying the foundation for a disciplined and cohesive training experience.

Lieutenant Colonel Manpal Singh Dhanoa conducted an engaging and informative session on the Service Selection Board (SSB), providing valuable insights into the preparation and mindset required to join the Indian Armed Forces as commissioned officers.

A special awareness session on health and hygiene was also conducted by Dr. Samridhi from Primary Health Centre, Nagrota, emphasizing the importance of personal well-being and preventive healthcare among young cadets.

The day successfully blended physical fitness and intellectual development, reinforcing core values of leadership, teamwork, discipline, and patriotism. The camp continues as a platform to nurture the holistic development of youth, preparing them to become responsible and confident citizens of tomorrow.
