Indian Army Conducts Medical Patrol in Azmatabad, Rajouri to Aid Remote Villagers
Rajouri, May 6: In a continued effort to provide essential healthcare services in remote areas, the Indian Army conducted a medical patrol in Azmatabad village of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative aimed to deliver basic medical support and raise awareness about common illnesses and preventive health practices among the local populace.
During the patrol, Army medical personnel interacted with residents, including the Sarpanch, Panches, and villagers, offering free health check-ups and distributing medicines. A total of 132 individuals—43 men, 37 women, and 52 children—received medical consultations and treatment during the outreach.
A lecture was also held to highlight the importance of personal hygiene, nutritious eating habits, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle to enhance overall well-being in the community.
Given the difficult terrain and limited access to regular healthcare, the initiative was met with great enthusiasm and gratitude from villagers. Residents appreciated the Army’s genuine outreach and shared suggestions to further improve local livelihoods.
The event not only provided much-needed healthcare but also reinforced the bond between the Army and the people—strengthening the relationship between the Jawan and the Awam. The Army’s continued commitment to public welfare in inaccessible areas stands as a testament to its service to the nation.
