Jammu, Feb 27, 2025: The 8th battalion of JK Armed Police on Thursday organised a medical check-up camp at Battalion Headquarters, Miran Sahib, in collaboration with the Block Medical Officer (BMO), R.S. Pura, to assess the health conditions of police personnel and ensure regular medical evaluations.

An official spokesperson said the camp witnessed the participation of the Commandant of JKAP-8th Battalion, who personally underwent a medical check-up alongside other gazetted officers.

Emphasizing the significance of such initiatives, he highlighted that personnel in uniformed services often struggle to undergo routine medical examinations due to their demanding duties.

A total of 208 police personnel attended the medical camp, where a dedicated team of doctors, including Dr. Povinder Singh and Dr. Ashok Kumar Chowdary from Government Hospital R.S. Pura, conducted thorough examinations and provided health-related advice. The initiative aimed to create a structured system for monitoring the well-being of officers and officials while promoting health awareness.

Deputy Superintendents of Police (Dy.SP) Om Prakash Chib, Bhupinder Singh, and Tilak Raj were among the officers who actively participated in the check-up. The health camp was part of the police welfare measures designed to ensure the well-being of personnel and encourage them to prioritize their health.

Such initiatives reaffirm the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police towards the holistic welfare of its personnel, ensuring that their health remains a priority despite their challenging service conditions.
