Shopian Police Conduct Special Anti-Drug CASO at NDPS Hotspots

SHOPIAN, April 29: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Shopian Police today conducted a special anti-drug cordon and search operation at identified NDPS hotspots within the jurisdiction of Police Station Shopian.

The operation forms part of sustained and intensified efforts to curb drug abuse and dismantle local drug networks. During the drive, police teams carried out thorough and systematic searches in the Baba Mohalla area of Shopian, focusing on the residences of suspected drug peddlers and individuals vulnerable to substance abuse. This proactive initiative aims to disrupt the supply chain of narcotics and deter individuals involved in illegal drug activities.

Shopian Police reiterates its firm resolve to take strict and decisive action against drug abuse and related offences. The general public is urged to extend full cooperation and share any information regarding drug trafficking or substance abuse. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
