PMJAY( Ayushmann ) Sahat scheme launched in JK, Graceful functions held across Bandipora District
Bandipora, December 26: A momentous function was observed at Bandipora District Headquarters to witness live launch of SAHAT scheme by Honble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The event was organised by the District Administration Bandipora in which DC Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad and Senior Superintendent of Police Rahul Malik were present.
Newly elected members of DDC , ADC Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir, ACR Bandipora Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, CMO Dr Bashir Ahmad, Dy CMO, ACD, CEO, DSWO attended the function besides large audience from different areas of Bandipora
While speaking on the occasion , DDC congratulated residents for getting eligible for worlds largest insurance scheme. He stated that any resident of District can get his golden card by visiting the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to register themselves.
The scheme provides economic security of Rs 5 lakhs per family . He further instructed CSC teams and Doctors to ensure speedy registration of beneficiaries on the portal.
DC directed for conducting of Block Level Registration Camps on mission mode to ensure 100 percent coverage of the scheme. He said more than 20,000 registrations have been completed so far.
There are 52 CSCs functional accross the District wherein people can get registered for availing benefits under the scheme.
Similar functions were held in all 5 medical zones in the District in which BDC chairpersons , BMOs , Health officials and others participated to witness the launch .
At the end the DC Bandipore Dr Owais Ahmad distributed around 2000 Golden cards among poor beneficiaries out of total 18000 registered beneficiaries on the portal.
