Northern Command Chief Reviews Security, Operational Preparedness in South Kashmir

Anantnag, August 27: Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited South Kashmir to review the security situation and operational preparedness of troops deployed in the region, the Army said.

During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on the evolving security dynamics, operational challenges and measures taken to strengthen the security grid.

The discussions focused on the integration of technology to improve surveillance, intelligence gathering and operational awareness. The Army said the measures are aimed at enabling troops to respond to emerging threats.

The Army Commander also interacted with troops and commended them for their professionalism and morale. He called on them to remain proactive, adaptable and prepared for operational requirements.

The visit comes amid continued efforts by security forces to strengthen surveillance and operational preparedness in South Kashmir.
