Srinagar, May 15: The Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum has appealed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to direct the concerned authorities for advance release of salaries for the month of May 2026 ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Forum said government employees are required to meet various financial obligations associated with the festival, and timely release of salaries would provide significant relief to employees and their families.
The Forum stated that advance disbursement of salaries would help employees celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with comfort and dignity.
Expressing optimism, the Forum said it hopes the government under the leadership of the Chief Minister would sympathetically consider the genuine concerns of employees and take an appropriate decision in their favour.
The Forum also appreciated the government’s continued commitment towards the welfare and wellbeing of employees across Jammu and Kashmir.
