Srinagar, June 4: Lieutenant General Harpal Singh, Director General of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), accompanied by Brigadier Chirag Ghura, called on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday.
During the meeting, discussions were held on ongoing and proposed road infrastructure projects across Jammu and Kashmir, with a focus on enhancing connectivity and accelerating development in the region.
The deliberations centred on strengthening road networks, improving transportation infrastructure and expediting key projects aimed at boosting accessibility, particularly in remote and strategically important areas.
Both sides also discussed measures to facilitate the timely execution of infrastructure projects and further improve road connectivity to support economic growth, tourism and public convenience across Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting underscored the importance of robust infrastructure in promoting regional development and ensuring better connectivity for residents and visitors alike.
