Raipur, August 15: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka on Saturday flagged off six Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) supported by REC Limited under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, at Lok Bhawan here.
The six MMUs, with a total value of ₹7.21 crore, are aimed at strengthening last-mile healthcare delivery and providing essential medical services to underserved communities across Chhattisgarh.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by Satyaban Sahoo, Chief Project Manager, Regional Office Raipur, REC Limited, along with officials from REC Limited and the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Chhattisgarh.
The initiative seeks to bridge existing healthcare gaps by taking medical services closer to communities in underserved and remote areas, thereby improving access to essential healthcare facilities.
REC Limited said the initiative reflects its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development and supports the broader vision of building a healthier and more inclusive Viksit Bharat.
