Awantipora, April 29: Continuing its intensified drive against drug menace under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, Police District Awantipora conducted anti-drug raid/search operations at Chersoo, Gadikhal and Gallander, identified drug hotspots.
The drives were aimed at curbing the illegal narcotics trade and identifying individuals involved in drug peddling. During the raids, multiple locations were thoroughly searched and several persons were questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
These actions form part of the zero tolerance policy adopted by Police Awantipora against drug trafficking and substance abuse. Regular raids are being conducted across various hotspots to dismantle the drug network and ensure a safe and drug-free environment.
Police Awantipora reiterated its commitment to eradicate the drug menace and urged the general public to cooperate and share any information related to drug peddling with the nearest police unit.
