Army Goodwill School Bandipora Observes International Day Against Drug Abuse

Bandipora, June 25: Gopi Singh Rathore Army Goodwill School, Bandipora, observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking through a series of awareness activities aimed at educating students about the harmful effects of substance abuse.

An official spokesperson said the programme featured speeches, rhyme recitations, skits and songs, with around 33 students from different classes participating enthusiastically.

The event was attended by students, teachers and the school Principal.

Speakers highlighted the significance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, observed annually on June 26, to strengthen global efforts and cooperation towards achieving a drug-free society.

Students were sensitized about the dangers of drug addiction and the importance of making healthy and responsible life choices.

 They also pledged to remain drug-free and spread awareness among their friends, families and communities about the harmful impact of substance abuse.

The event provided a platform for students to showcase their talents while reinforcing the message of a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle.
