PAMPORE, Oct 15: Dr J. Seetharamulu, Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Sericulture Research and Development Institute (APSSRDI), Hindupur, and former director Dr P. J. Raju visited the Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSB-CSRTI) at Pampore on Thursday to explore research activities and prospects for institutional collaboration.
During the visit, the scientists inspected the institute’s mulberry germplasm plots and learned about the genetic resources being maintained for research and development.
They also interacted with newly recruited scientists and discussed ongoing research, scientific advancements and future prospects in sericulture.
Officials said an overview of CSB-CSRTI Pampore was presented to the visiting dignitaries, highlighting its major research programmes, achievements and contributions to the sericulture sector.
Dr N. Sakthivel, Director of CSB-CSRTI Pampore, welcomed the visitors and emphasised the importance of scientific interaction and knowledge-sharing among researchers to strengthen collaboration and address emerging challenges in sericulture.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange scientific knowledge and explore avenues for cooperation between the two institutes in sericulture research and development.
