Anantnag, May 17: Intensifying its all-out offensive against drug trafficking and the narcotics ecosystem, Anantnag Police today conducted a large-scale, simultaneous Narco Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) at 20 identified locations across the district.

The coordinated operations were carried out by specially constituted police teams under the close supervision of senior officers, based on specific leads developed during investigation of NDPS cases and other actionable intelligence regarding drug peddlers, kingpins, and their associates.

To enhance the effectiveness of the searches, K9 squads were also deployed during the operations. The searches primarily focused on suspected hideouts, transit points, and locations linked with individuals believed to be involved in narcotics trafficking or providing support to the illegal network.

The district-wide operation forms part of Anantnag Police’s sustained strategy to dismantle the entire narcotics ecosystem by targeting not only peddlers but also facilitators, financiers, and other persons connected with the illicit trade.

Anantnag Police remains steadfast in its mission to eliminate the drug menace and appeals to the public to continue extending cooperation by sharing credible information related to narcotics activities.
