LFB Condoles demise of Farooq Nazki
Bandipora, Feb 06: Literary Forum Bandipora on Tuesday condoled the demise of prominent writer poet and former director Doordarshan and AIR Srinagar Dr Farooq Nazki.
In a statement issued to the media, Patron LFB Mubashir Saleem Nazki paid tribute to the late nazki and recalled his contribution to Kashmir and Urdu literature. He said his passing has created a vacuum in the literary secretum that will be hard to be compensated for.
Mubashir said that Farooq Nazki represents the post-modern tradition of Urdu as well as Kashmiri poetry. "He creates poetry with a unique style and diction," Mubashir said.
Nazki art has got appreciation all across the Urdu world,he is considered as the representative of post-modern and post structuralist poetic art.
Spokesperson said as soon as the news of demise came, LFB called an emergency condolence meeting that was attended by all the senior members of the forum including Mir Dachigami, GN Zahid, Ghulam Hassan Tair, Mir Tariq, Mansur Muntazir, Mubashir Muztarib, Shafqat Irshad, Roof Ghayal, Dr Basharat Faukir, Dr Asrar, Ali Muhmmad Aseer, G M Shah, Rashid Ragib, GM Gulal, Muhmmad Mubarak Baba, Bashir Ahmed Shah, Shabir Shabnum, Kaiser Lone, MA Shahi, Sheikh Saleem Bin Ahmad and other senior members
The members recalled the contribution of Nazki and offered fateh to the departed soul.
Mir Tariq former secretary AMK JK, vice president Literary Forum while paying tributes to the departed soul said that Farooq Nazki is a representative of post structuralist Urdu and Kashmiri poetics with unique diction of binaries.
"Nazki shaped the structure of Ghazal differently coloured it with the Derridain,Foucoldian as well as Heideggerian elements of poetic Philosophy" Mir said
Nazki's departure is an irreparable loss to the Urdu and Kashmir poetic world.
