Bandipora, Feb 03: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman, today visited AhemSharief Shrine to take stock of the arrangements being made for the upcoming Shab-e-Mehraj celebrations. The DC also visited adjoining areas to take stock of the basic amenities available to the residents and snow clearance operations.
During his visit, the DC inspected the ongoing snow clearance operations in the adjoining areas to assess the availability of essential services like electricity, water supply, and sanitation facilities for the convenience of devotees besides local residents.
Accompanied by ADC Umar Shafi and field officials from Revenue, R&B, PHE, PDD, MED, Food Safety, the DC interacted with the representatives of the Auqaf Committee and local residents. He listened to their concerns and suggestions regarding the arrangements. He emphasised the need for ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for all devotees during the holy occasion.
Meanwhile, the DC also visited the PHE Filtration Plant at Arampora to take stock of its overall functionality and availability of drinking water supply to feeding areas.
