Airtel business, Adani join hands for 20M Smart Metre rollout
Srinagar, Jan 13: Airtel Business, the B2B arm of Bharti Airtel, announced its collaboration with Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) to facilitate the deployment of more than 20 million smart metres.
“Utilising Airtel's robust nationwide communications network, the partnership aims to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for AESL's smart metre initiatives. Airtel's smart metering solutions, driven by NB-IoT, 4G, and 2G technologies, will enable real-time connectivity and seamless data transfer between smart metres and headend applications. The integration will leverage Airtel's IoT platform, 'Airtel IoT Hub,' offering advanced analytics, diagnostic capabilities, and real-time insights, empowering customers with enhanced control over their energy consumption,” a Spokesperson said in a statement.
Adani Energy Solutions holds an order book of over 20 million smart metres from power utilities in Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand.
