Indian Army Hosts Ex-Serviceman Rally in Doda

Doda, Jan 12: The Indian Army conducted its annual Ex-serviceman Rally at Sports Stadium in Doda district, addressing the needs and problems of veterans and Veer-Naries related to pension, emoluments, health, and various benefits and schemes. 

Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, PRO Defence, said that the event aimed to provide a platform for veterans to share experiences, connect with each other, and appreciate the contributions and sacrifices made by armed forces veterans.

The rally saw a significant turnout with 165 Ex-servicemen, 10 Veer-Naries, 4 Widows, and 371 Civilians attending. The Army dignitary addressed the rally, interacted with Ex-servicemen, and felicitated Veer-Naries and veterans from Doda, ensuring timely resolution of their grievances. The commitment of the Indian Army to the welfare of its veterans and their families was highlighted, emphasizing the support provided to lead fulfilling lives after their service.

The gathering received briefings about welfare schemes from Zila Sainik Board and ECHS department. Ex-servicemen appreciated the Army's efforts to organize such rallies, providing support and an opportunity to share experiences and suggestions for improving veterans'welfare.
