Empowering Justice Warriors: 40-Hours Mediation Training for Advocates Concludes
Advocates equipped with essential mediation skills to transform the justice system
Srinagar, July 23: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh's Mediation and Conciliation Committee successfully concluded a transformative 40-hour Mandatory Mediation Training Program for Advocates of Kashmir province on Sunday at the prestigious JK Judicial Academy in Moominabad, Srinagar.
An official spokesperson said the intensive five-day program aimed to foster a strong foundation of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods among legal professionals, enhancing their abilities to address disputes with efficiency, compassion, and fairness.
On the occasion experts in the field of mediation played an instrumental role in guiding the participants through the intricacies of mediation practices.
Dr. Aditi Choudhary, a Senior Judge Trainer, emphasized the significance of mediation in alleviating the burden on courts and expediting the resolution of disputes. She passionately stated, "Mediation empowers parties to take ownership of their conflicts, promoting amicable resolutions that endure beyond the courtroom. The commitment shown by the participants reflects their dedication to uphold the principles of justice."
The training program covered various essential facets of mediation, including communication skills, active listening, neutrality, and ethics. Participants demonstrated unwavering enthusiasm and active engagement throughout the sessions, showcasing their determination to enrich their understanding of mediation practices.
