Awantipora Police Establish Emergency Helplines Amid Heavy Rainfall

Awantipora, July 23: In view of the prevailing inclement weather, continuous heavy rainfall across the Valley, and the rising water level of the River Jhelum, Police District Awantipora has established emergency helplines to provide prompt assistance to the general public and to prevent any untoward incidents.

Residents, particularly those living in low-lying and riverbank areas, are advised to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel through waterlogged or flood-prone areas, and stay away from the banks of the River Jhelum. Citizens are requested to follow all advisories issued by the local administration and report any emergency without delay.
