DIPR Employee Aabid Hussain Bereaved
Bandipora, June 22: Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Buhroo- father of Aabid Hussain Buhroo –an employee of District Information Centre Bandipora passed away on Thursday morning after a brief at a Srinagar Hospital. He was 69.
Buhroo was not keeping well from past many weeks and was admitted at Shri Mahraja Hari Singh Hospital Srinagar where he was undergoing treatment. He breathed his last on Thursday morning. A large number of people gathered at Nadihal Village of Bandipora to attended the funeral prayers. He was laid to rest at his ancestral grave yard in Nadihal few meters away from his residence.
Buhroo was an employee of State Roads transport Corporation and rendered his services for more than three decades. He has also served Department of Handloom and Handicrafts. Several locals remembered him as a pious soul who was always kind to people and would be at the fore front to help any needy.
Matriculated in 1970’s , Buhroo served a well versed active social worker across the district. He was always on forefront in promoting education. He is considered a key person in setting up of first Madrassah (where Quran was being taught) in the village, recalled the locals at the condolence meet.
While recalling his behavior and attitude people say that he was a unique personality with a positive mind set. They said he always fore fronted himself whenever it was in welfare of the society.
Renowned scientist at SKUAST-Kashmir Dr Zafar Iqbal Buhroo was the elder son of the deceased. It's because of his noble efforts that his all the sons are well settled,” they added.

Several social, religious and political figures expressed grief over the demise of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Buhroo.
Meanwhile Kashmir Convener also expressed grief over the demise Buhroo and expressed soilidarity with his bereaved family.
In this regard a condolence meeting was held at Kashmir Convener’s Bureau office in Bandipora led by Editor Sheikh Saleem and was attended by several journalists and colleagues of Aabid Hussain.
They offered Fateh to the deceased soul and prayed for patience to the bereaved family.
While recalling his association with the deceased, Editor Sheikh Saleem said he had a three year association with the deceased while he was studyin in Baramulla and Mr Buhroo was his daily co passenger as his posting was in Baramulla those days. “He was not just a coworker but also a trusted travel companion during our extensive years together in Baramulla,” he said while recalling his association.
It is said that one's true character shines through during travel, and in the case of the deceased soul, it was abundantly clear that they were a person worth cherishing.
Throughout our journeys, Buhroo consistently exemplified the qualities of a true gentleman. “His every action radiated kindness and thoughtfulness, as they went above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well-being of those around him,” he recalled.
“His gentle nature was a constant source of inspiration to us all. Buhroo approached every interaction with grace and humility, leaving a lasting impression on everyone they encountered,” he added.
“His unwavering commitment to fostering a harmonious environment was evident in the positive atmosphere that surrounded us during our time together,” he recalled.
While speaking on the occasion Saleem said We must remember the deceased soul for his remarkable character, unwavering kindness, and genuine concern for others. “His memory will forever remain a beacon of light, guiding us to emulate the virtues he embodied,” he added
