Bandipora 21 Feb: A destitute family of North Kashmir's Bandipora district has filed a complaint against the concerned Sarpanch for recommending a wrong PMAY case.
A family living in a 10×12 square feet mud house has leveled serious allegations against the concerned Sarpanch of Surinder village in Bandipora district for issuing a PMAY case.
Family alleges , "We are living in a mud house and have applied for PMAY case a year ago (2021), after completing all the formalities case was issued to another person favour who already have three Houses".
They demanded a fare investigation against the Sarpanch in response to an application submitted in the BDO Arin office that stated, "Baagh Haseen Khan is living in a mud house from last 10 years and have applied for PMAY case but amount has been credited to another person who already have constructed House."
Earlier another family living in extremely poor conditions accused the sarpanch of favouritism alleging that the deserving persons aren't getting PMAY cases. Most of Sirender village's residents, who lead impoverished lives, demand that the Sarpanch's conduct be investigated.
People claim that Sarpanch only suggested the names of beneficiaries for monetary benefits.
Locals request DC Bandipora to look into the matter and rectify the wrongs done by the local PRI members. Calls went ignored while confirming claims from Block administration Arin.
